I have a problem with a turbo diesel freelander crunching/grating into fifth gear. Have had the gearbox out and replaced the synchromesh on 5th with genuine parts which cured the problem. However one month on the problem has returned? What else could cause this? Is this a common problem...

Its on standard four branch manifold atm. (well not exactly std but you know) I will do welding and alignment for nick thats no problem. Wipers are done. Thats a very good price for brake hose though may have to ring paddocks on monday for a price on exhaust and speedo cable for my series!
