    Rebuilt Defender 110 Td5 SW WON’T START

Was about to say, exactly the same symptoms and issues I posted about a few weeks ago. Had my ECU put on test rig at ecutesting.com and confirmed failure, they rebuilt with lifetime warranty. Working perfectly again.

    Dead Td5

Is this necessary for making it run? Can I simply plug it in and see if I get fuel pump running, dash lights etc. If I get that far it still confirms 100% its ECU dead.

    Dead Td5

Hey All, The other day, I went to move my 90 out the way of the garage. Started up no problems and was just sat idling while I got the other car out the garage. As it was idling, it just..... shut off. Then it just cranked, with no sign of life. Had to rush to work so pushed it back and left...

My landy is having mood swings

Ok bear with me, while I try to explain this the best I can. She basically has different moods (no, i havent gone mad lol) One day, she will fire up and sound a bit lumpy idling, and generally not feel as smooth driving, and sound harsh when revving it) On another day, she will start up...

Too change or not too change....

Just wondering what your opinion is, my rear shock bushes need changing and I'm wondering if I should change the shocks as well (65000 miles) Do you think it's worth doing, or should they last quite a bit longer? Original LR shocks still on it ;)

    Tyre size question:

Well the difference in radius between a 235/85 and 265/75 is 0.2% so speedo issues aren't a concern. I just don't think 235's suit te freestyle alloys, and that 265's fill the arches nicer. So do people think that going wider to 265's but going for an AT pattern would counteract any fuel...

    Tyre size question:

Yep. I think they just look far too aggressive. From various reviews and talking to other people, it seems the STT's have the best road ability, and wet braking than the other MT's. Also people say they are not so good in the mud as say the BFG. So it seems they are between an AT and a MT...

    Tyre size question:

I've been trying to get a decent answer, but no luck so far, gonna try and keep this to the point.... I currently run 235/85/16 BFG MT's. I dont really like the looks of the new BFG's, so I think I'll be going for a set of Cooper STT's. What are the pro's and con's of going up to 265/75...

    td5 isnt liking the cold

but what I dont understand, is that it can be -2 etc. and start absolutely fine, no smoke etc. yet under similar conditions the next day, can be a bitch to start, clouds of smoke, and no power. Was quite dangerous pulling out yesterday cos we live on a 50mph road, then to find she didnt want...

    over-fuelling

diesel in the engine oil is a very bad sign, it'll dilute the oil, and if it gets bad, you'll end up with a screwed engine. Could be injector washers, or a cracked head.

    td5 isnt liking the cold

Ok, im getting quite annoyed at this now :mad: Yesterday started up great, no judder, no coughing, perfect.... Pulled out the driveway, accelerated hit about 1200 rpm in first and just went dead. No power whatsoever, smoked thick black smoke, and juddered and misfired. Managed...
