I reckon it'll be your throttle body that needs changing :D

I spoke too soon!!! I now have the oil light coming on when the engine is idling. From what I've read elsewhere, I'm guessing it's the pressure switch in the filter housing. If it is, how on earth do you change that?

Did my first oil and filter change and I remembered to let the oil drain from the filter before I removed it completely.

Could be rear diff, Haldex, wheel bearings. Sounds like it might be better to take it somewhere and get a proper diagnosis.

I did the calibration as part of the fitting process, I didn't drive it until I'd finished.

Fitted a new throttle body and did the air flow calibration, before it went into the garage to have a replacement rear diff (from Bell Engineering) fitted.
Massive difference to how it drives now, so much smoother and lot less noise.

I've had a stage 1 remap done on my 08 Td4 and am pleased with the outcome. Slightly better fuel economy but more impressed with torque at lower revs. The only thing I was warned about was the gearbox not being able to handle higher torque, especially in 1st gear, so I'm always mindful to change...
