What have you done to your Freelander today

I did the calibration as part of the fitting process, I didn't drive it until I'd finished.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Fitted a new throttle body and did the air flow calibration, before it went into the garage to have a replacement rear diff (from Bell Engineering) fitted. Massive difference to how it drives now, so much smoother and lot less noise.

    Are FR2 REMAP's OK? (190 to 230 HP)

I've had a stage 1 remap done on my 08 Td4 and am pleased with the outcome. Slightly better fuel economy but more impressed with torque at lower revs. The only thing I was warned about was the gearbox not being able to handle higher torque, especially in 1st gear, so I'm always mindful to change...

    2008 freelander 2 pricing???

FWIW, I bought my FL2, 08 plate, HSE, Manual with 82k on the clock for £5,200. FSH, belt and water pump changed, new clutch ( inc DMF) in 2023. Immaculate condition inside and out. Since then I've had a full service on it, including all drive train oils and brake fluid changed, and that cost me...

Freelander 2 (LR2) Handbrake Gaitor replacement

Want to replace my handbrake gaiter as it's wearing out. I can get the frame unclipped from the rear housing but I'm at a loss of how to get it off the handbrake itself. Is it the same as the Discovery 2 in that a good, firm twist of the handle unsticks it then you can slide the whole lot off...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Got my first ever FL2 last Monday (08 plate TD4 with 83k on the clock and fastidious service history) and very pleased with it. Got it remapped today and that's made a significant difference.

    Thinking of selling

Going on the last MOT it had, 172k miles and needs welding on the rear chassis, I'd say you'd be lucky to get £1,200 for it.

Come on, don't keep us in suspense, did it pass? Or is it taking you this long to write the post of all the things it's failed on? LOL
