hi thanks for yout reply and all the replies so far. does the 'stinky plop' sensor look like a normal maf sensor in a round tubular housing? what does it do this stinky plop sensor. anyway i belive that is what i ahve that covered in oil n0ot the maf cheers again Adie

i maybe wrong that its the maf as the sensor that i have that is covered in oil is the one in the air trunking at the front of the engine slightly to the left as you look at the car i beileve the maf is behind the engine near the air filter is that corredect? little confused now but i am sure...

hi after readign your post on this thread i have a question as mine has started to behave sometimes its hard to start, then once it running and at idle it will choke and stall then cut out, as its choking the engine managemnet light does come on. but is gone again when the ignition has been...
