Is there a way to bypass the wastegate modulator value on the Disco TD5? I've heard somewhere that old defender TD5's didnt have one fitted at all. Just trying to work out if mine is knackerd.. also on the same subject what happens if you run the engine with the wiring to the modulator...

I had the same problems as your talking about. Turned out to be the seals on the injectors. Starts first time, every time now..

Ken, The pump is easy enough to change - 30 minute job, there are various bits of advice around this site and others about how to do it. I'll PM you with a price.

Im sure I've read somewhere that the pump is the same but the float arrangement for the fuel gauge sender unit is different. Ive no idea if you could use your original float unfortunatly...... If your interested I have a amost new pump which has done all of about 200 miles - I had a problem...

Danny, Thanks for all the tips. When you say check the exhaust, do you check it for blockages?? Also do you think anything could have been put back worng during the injector seal replacement which might cause the problems im having??
