So it looks like the head gaskets gone. While its off is there anything else I should change or check?

There only bubbles when I Rev the engine. I was thinking exhaust gases so head gasket. But the sniff test was clear. I think I'll take it to a friend of mine see if he's got a sniff tester. Is there anything I can do to check the gasket?

It was sniff tested and didn't change colour. To be honest I'm not sure if I used my original cap or the one that came with the second hand tank as they got mixed up. I left it on tick overdoes a good 30mins didn't move above half way on the gauge. And I'd didn't move during the test run of...

The expansion tank on my 300tdi defender split two weeks ago. I replaced it with another second hand one today, took it for a test drive, got home and it's split again. hi, when I bump up the kerb out side my house I get a clunk from what seems the steering. ive checked all the ball joints, universal joint and prop's, which all seem ok. is there anything else ive missed?

hi, I'm going to have to change my clutch in the new year, as mine is rearing out rapidly. what I want to know is which is the best clutch kit to get and any tips, i'll change the clutch folk and oil seal as it's leaking oil out of the bell housing.

When the sidelights are on they flash, when u switch the headlights don't work but the main beam flashes ok. So i take it its the relay, where is it and how easy is it 2 change?

hi, I've just popped out in my defender 110, switched on the headlights and nothing. the sidelights work fine but when I switch to the next position nothing happens, main beam work fine. I've just checked all fuse's, bulb and connections and all seem fine. please can anyone help with any...

thanks for all the reply's. I serviced it at the beginning of the year, so filters should be ok. I've just brought a large trailer which I've been towing around and it seem to have started since I started towing that. could it be the clutch.

hi, I've notice recently that my defender 300tdi seems a bit sluggish on pull off and up hills. some people have suggested putting diesel treatment in the diesel. what I want to know is, is it worth it and which ones are the best.

thanks, I managed to jump start it and take it around to my mates who reckons it could be the starter motor. so I've go and fetch a new one, when I got home and switched it off it started first turn so don't know weather to change it or not as I can guarantee when I need it in a hurry it wont start.

hi, I just went to start my 110 defender 300tdi. all the light came on but the engine didn't start or turn over. I changed the battery in the fob, tried setting the alarm and un setting it but nothing. please help as I need it asap. tim
