Thank you, this is super helpful. I think it numbers the pins in diagram you sent and the pins are numbered on the connector itself, so I should be good with that.

I see, so you bore out the block to accept a liner right?

There is definitely a liner looking line around the cylinder if looking from the top face of the block. But from underneath all I see is casting. So im presuming (Rightly or wrongly) they were pressed into a blind hole from factory?

This is usually a blanking bolt yes. Im guessing someone added another Water temp sensor at some point? I presume one doesn't work. They both go into the water gallery so must be???

UPDATE: New lift pump fitted, Still has issues. It seems to have helped marginally. It now idles perfectly, indefinitely. Pushing the accelerator down about 1/10th of the way picks up the revs by about 100 rpm. Pushing the accelerator any further causes it to drop the revs, but it now doesn't...

Just called up the local suppliers, They have a Delphi in stock. £40 odd.

What I mean is... If I loosen or remove the banjo from the Injector Pump and use the prime handle on the lift pump, I get a good solid squirt out the fuel pipe. So fuel is getting from the tank, past the filter etc to the IP. I will try and get the stop solenoid off now and take a look at it. I...

Fuel filter is fine, get loads of fuel to the IP. Removed the hose to the intake manifold, so air filter bypassed.
