Just a note... my Disco 2 just simply shut down and reset everything. I couldnt put radio code in, the clock had reset to 0 and immobiliser seemed to not disengage so I could not start the car. MMM I thought the key fob is low on battery? the key fob aint working or communicating with the...

The bizzare thing is, if I drive my 27 year old 90 (pre defender) with off road kit fitted, I get the landy wave. If I drive my 2004 disco XS.... I just get a confused look or ignored. Ill just continue waving regardless. Maybe its a location thing where you have to bring a few loose sheep back...

mmmm. so not wanting to sound like a right nonce.... if i replace the push button type handles that house a 20mm diameter barrel with the same with approx 15mm diameter barrel, that would work and save myself a few quid??

The CWC500190 is the part but like I said... they cost a packet. Does anyone know if you replaced the door handles which house the smaller locks (MTC6504) and fitted the smaller barrels, would that work with the mechanism?

Ive just had the same problem:rolleyes:The part you need as far as ive been told is CWC500190. These are original Land Rover parts and are so expensive... works out about £70 per barrel!!! I cant find a cheap alternative yet. Im wondering if it would be possible to buy 2 handles and 2 smaller...
