Thanks so much and I am not too sure how to upload pictures on this took me nearly an hour to figure out how to post a question and I will have a check of the hoses tomorrow hopefully it is a hose

I currently have a Land Rover discovery 3 2.7 hse diesel, engine sounds fine, there are no lights on the dash, there is no smoke from the exhaust, the car is not in limp mode, can only do 45mph at 3000revs but will do 4000revs in neutral, there is a whistle noise when I accelerate at high revs...
