1997 pre EGR engine, no injection pump so lots of work needed to fit one, if the sprocket is not held it will have dropped. Over priced to hell for what you get.

Problem with that being the top of the injection pump is no good for use in a P38. But it can be sorted.

Might get lucky with pump number ending 994? Or were they just fitted Rangie and 325 TDS?

If they aren't how much of a job is it to fit the correct one.

The pump? Not a bad job, especially if engine is already out but you need a couple of specialist tools to hold the pump sprocket in place and then time it up properly afterwards. Not a bad job though. Be REALLY careful withg the pump boklts. Clean threads, tiny smear of oil to ease the threads up and ever so light-fingers as you nip up with the torque wrench.

You need a sprocket holder and timing pin a DTI and an adaptor to fit it to pump. You then need to know what you are doing. ;)

Checked pump number and it's 0460406994 does that mean I don't have to change the pump and it would be a straight swop barring ancillaries
