No it won't if he had a shorter belt no need for the twist

yes it would go backwards if a twist was put in the belt.

Thats what the twist in the belt was used for. Not preventing the the belt from coming off.

The concave surface of the pulley it was centralises it on the pulley

And it works perfectly as is :) Its just VERY LOUD!!! :hippie:

How are you keeping that saw held in place, to keep it from walking

dead mass - its choofin heavy. Doesnt seem to move and its on rough stone ground.

When it gets to its final home (at the house we are gonna build in Wales) I will build it into the wood store and bolt it to the floor.
