Throttle position sensor Question

I assume the throttle position sensor has a return spring inside it???

I've just got a new one which would appear to have something like that, my old one is all floppy if you get my drift. Is this generally what happens when they fail??

They do have a return spring in them but normally they fail electrically.
I like the Torque app, it works well!

Ah right,

Yes I'm finding Torque useful at the moment especially the live data with the coolant temperature
