Having already had a new exhaust inc. cats due to a vibration problem, then a new diff. based on a known LR fault, I've now just discovered transmission oil on my driveway that looks to be coming from the diff again....:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Awaiting LR recovery again... Never had such an unreliable vehicle. Would never recommend one to a friend!!!
I guess it could be incompetent service on the part of the fixing dealer, Hartwell Oxford? I will post further updates when diagnosed...

Would be keen to hear from anyone with similar problems/experience.

Prospective owners: Don't buy a FL 2, get a well built car instead!

PS: car owned from new, never off road, 20 months old, 20k miles, auto.

Could it be yer driving at fault?

Some cars do have faults. At least yours are being fixed at the eggpence of LR under warranty.

I have the biggest lemon FR2 GS auto ever made !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had too many things go wrong to list ! horrendous is an understatement, now sometimes I can expect things to go wrong but mine has never worked properly and L/R seem to fail to reconise the serious of the faults and just keep expecting to repair it !!!!!!!!! Its still in the dealer now for its third week out of ten and 8 failures just in the last 10 weeks alone !!
I had 14 faults at 1 week old and two faults that in 2.5 years were never found at 2 dealerships ! this has really wound me up big time. I had a horrendous hesitation pulling away at a roundabout and all they ever did was downloads , then it was decided it needed a turbo when 2.5 years later it was discovered that it had always been pulling away in 2nd gear ! ( its an auto)you would of thought with all the road tests and complaints and my wife will not drive it that someone would of noticed it should be pulling away in 1st gear ! I knew it always pulled away in 2nd but my Merc auto alway does so assumed thats how they were !
It also never starts in the winter ! its always had a wiper fault where they operate on their own but when in the snow and they bent it was classed as act of god !how bad is that ? I have also had replacment instrument pack and PAS rack and pump and Air con pump and eveapertor and control valves and sensors and fan control modules twice and the best part is that its only just reached 20K I also had to have a replacement tow bar due to a design fault that caused it to clonk really badly towing that was failed to be reconised for 3 years and have had air bag light issues from new that were finally fixed 10 weeks ago ! these are just some of the bits I remember !
If L/R had put their hand up and said this aint right lets see how we can help it wouldnt of been so bad but i just have one great big shed !
I think now it will look best being driven through a showroom window witha film crew behind it ! that should get someones attention !

Our LandRover ruined our summer hols this year and had to be abandoned in the south of france and recovered by LR assistance when a wheel bearing collapsed at only 28k miles. It had numerous other faults acknowledged by the dealer who bought it back from us as when we threatened to take him and LR to court for selling and manufacturing a product simply not fit for pupose.
I would get rid asap, when now have an Audi and love it....it even starts evey day now thats a novelty!!!!
