So, a very obvious but not loud rattling coming from beneath in every gear at low revs. Sounds like something needs tightening up but I've had a look and everything seems good. Couple of months ago it had a full new exhaust so maybe it's that, internally?

What do you lot think? And if it is pinking what's the cure and how much!?

Pinking or rattling?? Completely different, can anyone teleport to Cooters and have a listen. Exhaust is favourite.

Teleporting would be handy! Actually I must admit I only said pinking because a mechaniccy mate said it may be that. Is he as clueless as me!!

pre ignition = fuel being burnt just before it should do in the cylinder

take the plugs out (one by one) and check what they look like ;)

Ok, excellent, cheers for that. For once that sounds like a cheapish cure. I'll have a look at them in the morning, but what am I looking for?

sadly this isn't the cure

just diagnosing
you are looking for burnt black and corroded plugs

Oh, well I'm hoping it's the exhaust shield thing now!

It's also got a fsh with recently changed plugs etc so...........

there should be an exhaust bracket that fixes to the rear of diff hsg, on an old exhaust it tends to break and rattle, perhaps on a new one its come loose.

Ok, so I've had the whole front exhaust/cat replaced today and still the same bloody rattle! It's going back in Monday for another check over on the ramps.
