My HDC warning light has been on for some time now, i have re-soldered the cables on to the switch, no luck, i have wired in an aftermarket switch to try it, no luck! THe brake lights work so don't suspect that switch, i have 12v at the HDC connector plug under gear gaiter, is there anything else to check? any help would be appreciated, cheers

When you say HDC warning, I assume it's the yellow HDC warning? The one with the lil Freelander going downhill and a ! next to it?

When does it come on and how often?

Mine has only done it once right after it did the brake light switch and hasn't done it since - perhaps its just "bedded in" now?

I think there's a possible condition where a new switch doesn't report back what is expected, first time. This is only when first fitted as it then self adjusts to the correct length of plunger, if yer pulled the plunger out before fitting that is. Fingers crossed it'a gone.

It was the new style one which self adjusts, I think it's sorted now.

Mine was coming on now and again, it turned out to be the throttle position sensor. Or at least it hasn't come back on since I changed it.

Same on mine. Restarting would clear it until it randomly came back. :D
