Emergency Key Access

Bought a Disco 2 and phoned original dealer and called local LR dealer to get the EKA code. They both gave me the same four digit code but its two letters and two numbers i.e A12B. I was expecting four numbers and the owners book only talks about a procedure with numbers. Any advice ? Have they given me the wrong codes ?

how do u mean though "with the tester cos its changeable" ?

if u plug in a testbook, nanocom, hawkeye, etc. u can read the EKA stored in the BCU and set/save in a new one.

good question as i did`nt know you could. and thanks sierrafery for the pathway. saves me a trip to the dealer.

yep this path get you to the EKA
options:-
EKA on
EKA off

doesn't give you the code or option to reprogram
with a Hawkeye V5.0 anyway

but did u select "EKA on"? ... cos u have to do that to go further

i did`nt select `eka on` coz, well it was already on. or so i assumed.

yep set to "EKA ON"
but can't find how to read or set the EKA?

I went outside to check it myself cos my statement was based on what a friend(who i trust) told me. It seems you are right... i couldnt read it aswell.

It's a lesson for me to not bank on others when i say something... sorry for that
