Heya all,

New to the forum and just put my introductory post up :)

Basically, NS/Passenger's side electric window is not operating, its not the fuse as have chcked this and when i press the button i do not hear any power going to the motor or it being stuck on the runners etc.

My thought process was to try the switch first? going to pop to a breakers yard later to see if i can grab one. However, can i swap the drivers side switch with the passenger side to see if this fixes it? i haven't yet as the part numbers where both different and i wasn't sure if the cabling/switching was different for eash side, so i haven't tried that yet as i didn't want to end up with two broken windows haha.

Any advice would be great :)

Thanks
Jamie

P.S. i have a Multimeter ;)

Yeah swap the switch.

If that doesn't work, pop the door card off and pull the connection off the motor, operate the switch and see if the connection goes live, ensure the negative has continuity.

The wires can snap in the loom between the A pillar and door.

So, plan of attack with this window.

1 check cables at door
2 door off and check for any blocks in runners
3 check for voltage at motor
4 check window ECU

Anyone got any other tips? :)

Forget 1, 2 & 3.

Did mine today, ECU cracked in exactly the same place as the Sceptic Tank's Disco in the You Tube video. :)

One hour, fiddly to get to and fiddly to put back but windows work fine every time now.

Oh wicked, well done on sorting yours :) was it just the one side that had gone or had it killed all of them.

Going to pop out and try my luck now :)

ECU definitely isn't behind the glove box.....

Right, ok that sorts out me trying to find it then haha.

Any ideas on how to approach passenger side window not working, I know it's not the switch or fuse?

there's 2 relays under the side panel in the drivers footwell. Yellow ones IIRC. swap them round and see what happens. failing that live feed to the motor to see if it motor is fooked.
