Hi there. Just wondering if anyone was able to help out with a oil leak that I've got.
I've changed the cam cover seal and also the front cam shaft seal and rear cam shaft oil seal and it's still leaking from underneath.

The oil leak is coming from the bottom of the gearbox near to the engine oil drain plug. It's dripping from the square plug which is on the bottom of the bell housing.

I'm guessing its the rear main, but just wondered if there were any other 'common' leaks or is it likely to be the rear main and also any tips or guides or videos for removing the gearbox?

I would check the oil filter and the housing the oil filter screws into it has a gasket where it mounts onto the bloke . Worth a look before diving into the rear main

How did you get the rear cam shaft seal off ? Had one sitting in the garage for the past year and have given up trying to replace it ?

Sorry, just logged on again and saw your question about the rear camshaft seal.
I've been busy and am trying to do a thread so you can all see why.

The way I did it was to put a large tool I use to get rubber water pipes off metal pipes. It's basically a pick tool and I stabbed this in the middle of the seal, I turned so it it and then levered it off with a small pry bar. When it was out I cleaned it up and then pressed the new seal in using a pry bar and the lid of a can that I cut up and some wood to give it a bit of strength.

It's very tight down the back, and I wasn't too sure about doing it.
But so far it seems to be ok, but then I haven't driven it much since doing it.
