so finaly at last. MOT time. took it down and it passed am over the moon, so i thaught i would just come on here an chuck up so pictures of my defender 90 project.



shes still not finished. im gunna get a respray but im sure as hell not keeping that color lol thinking gunmetal grey.

so thanks everyone for replying to my threads an helping me out! looking forward to getting out there!

Yup mine is more faded than that... don't respray unless you can get a proper pukka 100% job done, otherwise you'll regret it when it all starts bubbling off.

Looks nice though, what exactly have you done to her during the course of your project?

hi all, i just don't like the color if i was going to get a respray i would most sertanly gunna get a proper job done.

when i got the project i was expecting alot of work but the more i done to it the less work i found didnt need to be done, i didnt do alot. im quite guttered actualy, so im gunna carry out the rest of the projesct in cosmetics. theres still alot i want to get checked out. still havent sorte the knocking noise from the rear end. buster thinks the Aframe ball joint so im gunna replace that next week. id like to get it looking tip top. all in good time eh

well that's looking pretty damned good comparing it with the photos you had of it when you first bought it. It scrubbed up alright

thanks mate when i first got it, it was green. it turned out to just be moss lol it had been sitting under a tree for 3 years so when i got it home a jetwashed it it turned blue with a white roof ha ha

Have ye checked yer drive flanges yet to see if there's any play against the half shafts? And are yer uj's ok?

The motor's lookin' guid and congrats on gettin' it through the MOT mate

But the easiest way to check them is to jack up a corner at a time, remove rubber dust cap, rock the wheel gently back and forth and look to see if there's a bit of play between the flange and 1/2 shaft and check to see if the splines are worn
