indicators earth

where is the rear indicators earth on my 1996 110 because when i indicator the brake light flashes aswell and i was told it the earth but i can not find it
so help

It's the black wire try cleaning all the connections and if that doesn't help just fit a new length of wire to the indicator and attach the other end to a suitable earthing point on the body or even better the chassis.

thanks for the fast reply put where it the original earth connection on the chassis so i can clean it

don't know have you thought of trying to follow the black wires from the lights or getting underneath with a torch and having a look??

The usual fault is the main connector block on the offside, behind the removable panel, at the rear of the tub on top of the wheel box. (Basically behind the lights). If the connections there are good you then have to follow the loom right the way down the offside of the chassis. If this is the case it is quicker and easier to put a new earth in rather than slit the original loom open to find the fault.
