copper fuel lines

Got an abundance of 8mm copper pipe here at work, any drawbacks to using it as fuel line?

Can't see any myself other than possible contaminants

no good idea we have used it when doing rebuilds we fastened it with clips and self drilling screws

I got some other stuff i'm taking down there, not all copper though.

Doesn't copper work harden and then crack?

I'm sure that was the argument for copper-nickel brake pipes.

i never seen any problems like that with copper brake pipes allthough theoreticaly possible

That must be why some thievin basdard has nicked a wheelie bin full of copper pipe and half a wheelie bin full of stainless from down the yard.

so long as you dont over work it it stays maluable.life is shortened by salt and contact with steel use plastic coated p.clips to afix.
