Right, as instructed by goonarmy, a new fred!

Anyone up for a day out around the Hertford area, nowt too extreme, but if enough want to go, there's a member here who's a pal of mine (but works hard so don't have a lot of time for the forum) but knows all the lanes, some good wading if you're brave enough and all the watering holes.

When will depend on what people want, but probabely sometime in April, so post your preferred dates.

Seeing as ya asked so nicley im a yep!Any time from middle of april woulkd be best for me.What day you got in mind?

I mite well tag along. Depends if i'm workin or not. Int any other T*O*S*S*E*R's up for it?? Seein as Sodbury's cancelled, we need a lanein' sesh fer April. We int bin out thataway.

See no reason why not, those brave enough could take it on, those not so brave could drive round the long way and meet you at the other end, depends on the level of the water, can get up to 4 or 5 feet with some deep holes:eek:

Hertford you say? A gentle day's ride out in the countryside for the family and myself... enjoying gentle breezes and sunshine while all the while traversing the scenic landscape. Why wouldn't we join you? Of course I prefer to drive than swim and being as we have a petrol engine, dipping it in the drink might not be such a brainwave... but it sounds like a jolly spiffing day out.

Cheers

Chris

Had a chat wiv me mate, looking at planning two routes with some common lanes, one for those who want to have fun, one for those that have road kit and don't wanna scratch their shiney motor (no pormises re the scratches thou):D

Will depend on who wants to come, but need you pref, Sat or Sun, so let me know.

Hi, I have been asked to organise two routes. I route including Violets lane, Standon Ford and the Latchford Fords. The other just scenic laning with a little mud if available.

Max 5 vehicles per route. If loads turn up they will leave at intervals in order to keep the groups separate. Must be at lease 2 CB radios in each group.

I will try and plan the routes via some pubs for a possible lunch stop. The normal route I do is 14 lanes which usually takes 2-3 hours, I will try and increase it.

The Violets lane crew will go straight to violets lane and work their way back onto the other routes. Bill and I will sort maps. I trust you all can read!

My history, I work with land rovers, have done lots of courses in them and have been the rights of way officer in two different landrover clubs.
