If you followed this thread http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/need-some-help-slow-pulling-away-151784.html then you'll know what i'm on about anyway he pluged it in this am rang me back it showed a few faults 0027 engine/immobilisation, alarm system on engine (i think this is a very old problem from way back) haven't had a problem with that for 5 years at least!!
This is the one he thinks is wrong
0029 ECM possessor adjustment values in EE pross: internal ECM Fault

i have part # for it,( ERR6114 & MSB100870 ) but WoW the price of the thing is astronomical (£850) had a good google seen them for £350 ish (can i buy second hand?? they have to be programmed or somthing do they?) if i get second hand can a re program it? is this a DIY job, swapping plugs over ect?

Your thoughts please? if this is gona cost too much i will have to give it up this time i think!! i know i keep saying that but theres only so much ££ i can throw at it, i have a Toyota hi lux coming up for grabs from work (it will only be 2 years old when they sell it off) and I can have that for 3K + vat (i might just have it anyway its so cheap) so I will get shot of my beloved Range Rover (I have truly spent more on the RR than i have my wife) and i don't massage the wife for 2 hours, but I will go out wash the RR and wax it for that long!! lol

A new ECM can be set to need no enable handshake from the BECM, a second hand one will need to be synced. Worth pulling it out and looking for bad soldered joints and track corrosion if you can solder.
I suppose you have tried disconnecting the battery to force a reset? If not it's worth a try.
