Tackle the bigger jobs this weekend

Had a few hours to spare this morning, and waiting for parts to turn up for the engine so decided to have a go at changing the Fuel tank sender unit as a new one had been supplied by Vil.

Dropped the tank in around half an hour (Wolfie take note!)
Managed to salvage around 60 litres of fuel.

However thought it was going too well, unwrapped the new unit and was transferring the pipes to find that the plastic part that holds the float was in three pieces

So garage is now out of action until new Sender unit arrives:mad:

Not much to report however dropped the headlining, removed the old saggy cover, cleaned up the backer and just have to get a hold of something to re-cover it with.

All the A B C & D pillar trims were covered in mildew, tried cleaning them up but stripped some of the velour type covering so had to take them back to the beige plastic underneath, took a few hours but look a lot better.

Still no parts delivered!

yeah the mildew is a bugger to try and get off isnt it.

Re the roof covering, theres a chap on ebay that recovers them. But he is way down south. Maybe he would sell you the material though?

When you do the roof lining if you use that spray glue get the high temp stuff, you will end up doing it again when it gets hot in the summer.
Did mine not long after I got it, had to do it again after the first summer, been fine since.
