So this weekend I decided to finally tackle moving the autobox cooler to a much safer location and thus allowing me to fit fog lamps.

Attached is a picture of the new location. I have mounted it as far over the drivers side as possible to prevent the temperature sensor (circled) from picking up extra heat and giving the wrong reading.

The more eagled eyed of you will also notice I have removed the temperature sensor bracket and mounted this upside down, before you do this mark where the bumper bracket goes or else you will be a long time getting your bumper to fit back in its correct location! The hardest part was the 2 temperature sensors! the screws that held them on the old rad were rotten!!

Anyway.... it's all back together and fog lamps fitted

Great, even more heat going through the engine rad on an already marginal system just to fit pretty useless fog lights.
Wammers has a better way of doing it.

This was something that has been carried out in a very similar way by another member on here and he's 20K miles with no problems?

And for those that don’t like to get dirt under their nails, I know of a company that will carry out this mod and provide a guarantee with the work

And finally as I never tow (I don’t even have it on my driving license) how much heat is it really going to add?? My temp gauge never shows even half way!? So it’s really not something I’m all that worried about

I did speak to Wammers, but I wasn’t about to start chopping away at my bumper? And the fog lamp will not fit with the eleccy fan on the cooler
