Best of luck mate, it is almost tempting to take a sack truck with you when you go to buy gas!!
I have developed a bit of a technique for picking them up as we need two at all times, gas hob indoors, gas BBQ out.
But you need to be in working...
I did bizarrely think of doing just that, in series obvs. But I don't fancy disabling both our cars here at the same time.
In the UK I have a load of old batts kicking around that I could use. I could do with an old transformer of some kind. And...
Hi chaps,
I’m having to replace the manifold elbow outlet and the new one just comes with an O ring. Now the one I’ve just taken off had a a lot of sealant despite it having quite a big flange. Would you recommend sealing it in a similar fashion?
In France it seems to be Conrad if you can understand them or ManoMano, through whom I think I'll be getting stuff.
I did find a direct link to the relays with another supplier that actually worked from a post donks ago on the forum I mentioned...
In my discovery 3 TDV6 owners manual is suggest that you run the engine at above 3000 rpm for about 20 min to burn out the acumulated carbon but dont park over dry grass
..shopping done, gas was got.
Petrol was £1.34/L at the supermarket
That's more expensive than elsewhere, they use the petrol pricing to subsidise the food price-cuts I reckon. :(
After spending some time thinking about designing a tool to hold the fan to undo it in the end i went and got a piece of steel13mm x 3mm x260mm long and it did the job one hit and the fan was off now all i got to do is wait for new pulley or...
That's the game we're playing - "hoping" and "getting" may be a little off..... I have a guy in Kenya tomorrow allegedly coming to "do a deal", so I guess we'll see. Although at this rate, bringing it back and using it feels better, it may take...
Have you checked the tightness of the rear output shaft nut? When they come loose it can make the speedo do some odd things as they are only friction drive, mine worked backwards when it was loose (speedo went up as I was slowing down and vice versa)
The video makes it look harder than it actually is as his tailgate is stuck closed, the inner trim is far easier to remove with the tailgate open. Regardless of that it shows you how it operates.
At £35 it's the cheapest DIY option to rule it out.
As the catch goes onto its first position the cable, in the 2nd unit, pulls the tailgate onto the second position of the catch.
Of course it could be an electrical issue but that will be harder...
Morning All. :D
Slept OK, back is niggling all the time though. Grateful for small mercies. :)
Shopping day, and I need to get a patio gas refill (that'll help the back no end, won't it? :(
Have a great day. :D
Just a quick update, after fitting the used SAGEM MAF I have now managed to go for a reasonable drive around to get the ECU to adapt to the change. It is now a very different car, smooth as silk, idles as steady as a rock, no hesitation when...
Thx for your reply. I will give it a go. Will ask my local LR specialist to fit it. They are pretty reasonably priced as neither myself or hubby are not confident enough to replace. May I ask why you think the issue is the boot catch. It's odd...
