Any photos? If damaged they can be hard to remove.

Had half an hour to spend and tried to remove the whole broken half shaft from the axle, and it seems stuck when it is almost all out. Is there any trick to remove it or just brute force?

Sorry but i am still finding my way: this diff i took photo of is a extra diff i have that i plan to install, because I do not want to use the welded One...
  • W
Ah! Yes. I understand. Do you have a photo of the original diff? The one fitted to the back?
  • A
Let.me explain the whole story: the guy that sold me included this diff in the deal, because he was planning to remove the welded diff. I plan to Change to this "regular" diff because I wont BE doing any hardcore OffRoad, so i do not feel the...

Cheers @doriz. I don't seem to have any push button on the dash. Looks like I'll have to do some sort of after market mod. Can't be arsed to take the dash out to get wires thro the bulkhead tho. I envy S2 owners who don't have that hassle!

The windscreen wiper on/off knob/button pushed in is the screen washer iirc. My bottle has a motor, I suspect the 2nd motor is a PO modification.

pwood999 replied to the thread P38A HEVAC Blend Motor Testing.
Either of those sounds more likely. As both the set in the car, and these go through the resistance range smoothly, will try the replacement HEVAC first. If required, I have 5 spare pots ready. Did one in the other car a while back, but had...

If that diff is welded you will need a new one or at least a set of the bevel gears.

pwood999 replied to the thread P38A HEVAC Blend Motor Testing.
Took the right blend apart to check. Def says 10K on the pot & measures 12.3k on terminals !! Bit more than 5%, but hey ho, if the HEVAC uses it as a voltage divider then should be ok. Will see what happens with the "new" HEVAC.

This is a reasonable thing to do, keep it road safe and pass MOT, do the the necessary work as it comes up. Might end up with a bunch of stuff to be done at once so. But yeah, those nut and bolt restorations trnd to never be finished, cost a lot...

@meego that’s an old style landrover relay with trailer light set up. I found when these go some relays don’t work in there place(especially if you have glass fuses & LEDs)) Either put resistors on the indicators or go to bolt on bits & gets the...

Have you a photo of what you have? Surrounds may be cross fitted to rovers etc or older cars.

Anaconda replied to the thread Empire D2 downpipe.
After eventually fitting the downpipe I can report back that it's a poor fit. The downpipe is the one with the dummy cat on it and it is literally 2mm away from the chassis and that 2mm took some work. I have a feeling it won't be long that it's...

Just googled Texecom Premier Elite 24 and I see its a basic panel, I haven't looked at the engineers install manual or the user manual but somewhere the should be the information u require or not. If not then there’s standalone devices around...

pwood999 replied to the thread P38A HEVAC Blend Motor Testing.
Also did some tests on my spare heater box & motors today. Tested each motor with 9V battery & multimeter on the pots. They do seem to vary a bit, but we have to assume the HEVAC simply tests the voltage across the pot across the range when...

Avoid trying to order from an LR Dealer. Somebody posted a while back that UK dealers will take your money, and then inform the keys are on back order. Instead ask the dealer for the "Lockset Bar Code" based on your documents & VIN. It's a...

LR dealers in the states won't touch anything older than 2011 at this time. So they sent me to the aftermarket shops, without a transponder to essentially copy they have no way of making a new fob....so I'm being told.
