Brilliant! I think most EV drivers will agree - range is a big deal when picking (or building!) a car. Well done Ali 👍 Edit - could you switch to CCS? You’d have a much greater charging option if so.

Yes definitely the metal ring from the air inlet pipe. The section it was supposed to be in was no longer round having developed a flat section, I'm thinking that this would have acted like a hole or split in the inlet pipe hence crappy...

Thank you for your comments @meego .... Just the sort of useful comments that I was hoping for. 2/ I had thought that the white component in the packs of clips offered on eBay were the part that the black fir tree clips onto on the door card...

I did this and had a bit of a look. There is one Disco 1 being broken and links to other secondhand parts dealers. https://www.leboncoin.fr/recherche?text=phare+pour+Discovery+1&kst=k Best of luck.

Have you heard back from Rob? I don't know if phase 1 ones will fit, you'll have to ask, but I do know that others have done the opposite, i.e changed phase 1s for phase 2s and they had to cut stuff about, so fitting phase 1s might be easier...

I agree with the chaps above regarding repairs. Do not be tempted with doing a complete strip down overhaul unless this is really your thing, so many are never finished. Keep as a rolling restoration and enjoy each fix/improvement done as you use it.

If you keep the windows closed the fumes roll back in. We either drive with door tops off or sides rolled up Don’t have the luxury of flaps on the S1 to open

As mentioned before make sure you have a power finger file before you start the brake cylinders. As for MOT, where I am they only care if the braking is good enough.

Pretty much so, had to drive my hard top with no rear door for a while as it was under repair. I did put a spare tail gate on but fumes came in. Best one can do is have the bulkhead flaps open to have a through flow of air. Other rag toppers...

First maybe clean the spade end on the starter, if that does not improve it which it may, but either way i would personally remove the starter and change the contacts and plunger. Its not an hard job maybe 45 minutes work cost of parts are low...

Morning all. Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and getting out in their financial black holes 😂. Is it normal to get exhaust fumes in the cab when driving with the rag top rear flap open? Definitely seems to be an issue with mine. Cannot...

Model year? I don't put too much faith in timing lights as they are only a guide to the manuf. settings back when the engine was built. The readings don't take into account the years of wear 'n tear or the grade of petrol you are using. I've...
