Unplug the MAF and run it. If the MAF is faulty you will notice a difference straight away. It defaults to saved settings. Bit sluggish when cold but runs fine once warmed up. Be careful of the cheap chinesium copies if you buy a new one

Actually, that's correct. Most vehicles over read by up to 10%. It's a couple of things: 1) protection against speeding tickets, if the car was accurate or under reading, then the manufacturer could be on the hook. 2) the car gets serviced...

And given JLR dont make the phase 2 lights anymore they are hard to find. I need to remove the phase 2 headlamp unit and replace them with a more readily availible model and that is cheaper. Any ideas !?

Hello fellow landyzoners! Yesterday, hot summer afternoon, after some driving lessons including several engine stalls and restarts of my old fl1 td4, the starter refused to crank anymore. After towing home, in the chill of the next morning, it...

Thanks, I'll have a look in the morning for some suitable pipes/hoses to join them together
  • brianp38dse
Just connect them together and see how it goes if no more leaks then you have sorted it and can leave like that or alter pipe work to reduce possible leak points.

Sound, glad I could help. They can be awkward to remove so they were prob cut to make it easier taking them off. Ta for getting back to me. 👍
  • B
Would that just be a case of removing the two hoses and connecting them together? Or just get one length of house and connect them both on their sources?

What have I done today... well discovered my cowboy rebuilt wheel cylinder is still leaking, so new cylinders it is! Then I started to change the springs as I have a whole new set to go on (just standard height/duty britpart, nothing special)...
  • brianp38dse
The throttle body heater can be bypassed its not really needed in our climate, that way it will never cause a leak again.

Those type of clips can be tightened up with ceramic tile nippers if any needs to.

Brilliant stuff, should be the same process for the D1 so I’ll run through that and see if I have any luck.
  • B
That’s interesting. I will test pin 39 tomorrow for 12v with ignition on and report back. I bypassed the relay today to run the pump and attempted to start. Engine turned over but would not start. This could possibly point to a coil issue?

Congratulations on your series 3. I've never seen a snorkle that big 😃. Make a list and get cracking. The first job I'd do is Inspect the chassis and get some protection on it.
  • sierrafery
Yes it's possible, too bad that the nanocom you hired didnt have the alarm menu in it cos at this point it's very suspect if you say the alarm is sounding and you really need to check if the ECU receives the 10AS security code otherwise it's...
