    If you jack up both rear wheels they should spin fairly freely (in opposite directions). If not then the shoes might be too tight.

    Hi Try to bleed the clutch fluid first. If not better, change the master cylinder put one from Luk brand. If you are a yogi master is not that difficult, you should also know how to disconnect the master from the slave without the right tooling.

    So the whole drive train as noted in first post is not all Disco. Recon you just need the repair kit for axle of your year and fit new Railko bush and seal. You also need to set the swivel pre load for it to work right. How to info on the Youtube.

    Not retired, work for myself. I am from an age when swapping parts on a car was easy without computers. But I keep up with the times which is why I have an OBD reader and why I came here to ask questions about my planned change.

    Sorry I replied to myself. The part cost 50 pounds and was not a land rover part. Is the master cylinder hard to fit if I get the original part.

    I haven't checked them no, but they've been replaced with stainless steel ones from pioneer so I should imagine they are fine. The hand brake had been a little weird, it seems very... tight, when I drive with it off sometimes going over bumps...

    Flexi will work for a while, mild steel flex short life span, stainless steel longer life span, but even they stiffen up and then split after time.
