A replacement air compressor is on the way, as I took the old one apart and now it doesn't work at all😅😅. Due to the car being on its bump stops getting at the height sensor is a little difficult I've been expecting an air suspension fault...

I am sure, i actually did it my self, hehe. :D Leak test and all, everything was fine. I work at a collision repair shop. Clutch works, blend motors move, cleaned the condenser. (fans have not kicked in tho) I quess the pump is bad, since the...

Currently awaiting rescue in a car park sweating my tits off. Drove into town, about 20 miles and all dandy. Did what I needed to about an hour later and jump in the car.. and it’s just cranks, no attempt at firing at all. Great. Booster pack...

Good Morrow Forum, Defender 90 first registered 2008. I have an intermittent problem. Inserting the ignition key and turning to the first position all the usual lights come up. Turning the ignition key further to start the engine produces...

I've heard soft gentle braking can cause a squeel. A few hard stops now and then may help.

I found the o-rings on simplybearings.co.uk who have a simple page where you put in all of the dimensions and find the product. I ordered both of the o-rings that you suggested, getting five of each o-ring because it was only a few pence more...

G'day all! Up early to investigate the gas sylinder leak problem. Found precisely one "rubber" type seal in my plumbing stores that'd prolly fit having looked inside my regulator thing for the barbie, so got tools and of to the camper van that...

The air bags are Dunlop and are very dry cracked so I assume there original or atleast very old. The air suspension has been fine up until yesterday it even , stayed in standard ride height over night. I sprayed soapy water on the air tank...

You would only know one of the other tensioner etc was the fault by checking them once the belt was off, 7yrs for crank pulley does not sound great but it depends on how the car as been driven and the conditions, good luck and do et us know the...

A minor annoyance on the TD4 Sport 2003. When I bought the car it had seized calipers and worn discs. Calipers and discs replaced and Mintex pads fitted. All good with no problem for 15,000 miles. Due to a long Scotland trip looming, I replaced...

Checked the line on the air tank, all seems fine dirty but fine. A worn piston seal might be the cause , as when I turn the car off you can hear the valve block releasing air , even tho the car hasn't raised.
  • Rubberknees
It may be running but is it making any air. If the piston seal is worn you will get very little pressure.

Yep, sounds the same @Arctic2, ordered one, thanks. Maybe the speed to the ferry wasn't to good on the motorway last time. Could it be, that one of the other tensioners could have caused deterioration and would need change as well?
  • sierrafery
Yes, you can for test just the ride heights might be a bit different but if you connect it and the compressor will not run like with the original you know that's it. If nothing changes you should swap the fusebox... what ever you swap disconnect...

Hi everyone, Yesterday i did a small check on my Disco's Td5 and I went to check the oil contamination on the wiring loom, as I replaced the injector harness with an "improved" version lately. long story short: It is impossible to plug the loom...

Hi and welcome! Lots of good help and advice on here. There’s good write up in the members projects section of a disco 2 V8 project too which might give you some inspiration.

I'd be checking around the air tank to make sure the air supply to it hasn't been popped off? A good clean up needed then and a thorough examination of air lines and airbags. 👌

Today I will be mostly resting. Been working hard for a few weeks, now exhausted. And it will be too hot for the next few days to do much. Cold beers at the ready in the fridge for this afternoon.
