So the warning light is just a warning light .... can you engage the PTO and spin the capstan/winch (so you know it's working) and then disegage the PTO and see if the capstan/winch still works ? If it stops working when the disengage lever is...

All, i rebuilt this engine and paired it up to my gearbox. however, im hearing a knock. All bearings in the engine are new and have maybe max 5 minutes of runtime on them. I did feel/seem to have a slight gearbox knock from before when i put...

I don't have a PTO on my 90 so won't be a huge help here, however, that 'thingy' with the wires on looks like a pressure switch which when trhe PTO pump is running will light up the 'do not reverse' warning lamp on the dash. The PTO is driven by...

It’ll clean up nicely. This was in the same state prior to a cut and polish.

True that originality seems to be valued more highly than a fresh re-paint even if it's a pro job. But does the paint they used for these back in '89 lend itself to being polished (by which I mean T-Cut or similar abrasive cutting polish)?

Thank you, Indeed they replaced all the belt a couple of months ago. Not sure the crank pulley has been replaced but probably was not long ago as it looks very clean. Any vérification I could make on the crankshaft bearing ? Or just drive until...

Probably need a new tank. They are rust traps. But first. Don't trust anything about the restoration. Remove the seat. Remove the lid on the seat box. Take a good look around the tank. Especially when the bash plate cradles the inner tank at...

A galvanised chassis and originality will make this desirable. £8k sounds achievable. A new set of galvanised body cappings and a polish up of the bodywork would work wonders.

I would agree with the 8k maybe a bit more depending on condition of other things. Although I am not looking for a V8 so these prices will be lower I paid £2250 18months ago for an ‘89 110 station wagon with no v5 (exported but never left) and...

One thing to beware of is that the distance between the Bearings on the input gear shaft and the Lower differential shaft is absolutely critical and is set at the factory, or by the last person who rebuilt it, always assuming the knew what they...

£3,500 is the average of the guestimates so far: £1000, £1500 and £8000. £3,500 seems a bit on the low side?
