All of which have potential to go wrong, unfortunately. It's a job I would try and avoid if possible, ok you're not going to do it for the sake of it but you know what I mean.

FYI for anyone not done it and curious, if bolt snaps in head and you can’t get molegrips on it to twist it. Your choices are, stud/bolt extractor set, drill a pilot hole in the bolt and use the extractor head which should hopefully unscrew the...

Does anyone know what resistance I should get across the rail sensor terminals ? Our old sensor measures about 130Kohm across the two outer terminals. The new replacement we got from eBay measures >> 3Mohm which seems wrong. I still get...

Literally too hot to do anything here today. It was extremely hot yessdi an all but we did pick black currants to make "crème de cassis " with. So we may get on doing that, although it involves simmering stuff for 2 hours. Having to water the...

I had the same style rack fitted to my 90. It does indeed require gutter clamps. There may be further images on my hard drive, i'll check after work and get back to you.

Bear in mind you might want a relay or two and a fuse before you burn your truck to the ground.

It’s a 300TDI CSW 1994. The below photo is the only wire not yet connected. I want the spotlights to come on with high beam. 👍

You've mentioned this before and I did look into it. But they are more expensive than the cheapo (€19) barbie we bought Thursdi.

It's an easy job if the studs don't snap or damage the threads in the head.

Headliner map pocket formers. Helps get the headlining properly into the recess. If anyone wants these they are going free. Either collection in Langley, or you pay postage.

That was the original Baden Powell, who set up camp on Brownsea Island, wrote "scouting for boys" and I believe invented the concentration camp, though I may not be right on that. Totheren was an amazing guitarist, I have a box set of his LPs...

Agree there should be clamps to attach to the gutters, no drilling involved.

Probably just skimmed and dewebbed, unless you got the cash to get something custom and I’ve only seen like 1 custom and was for a v8 though. You could get one on ebay for £300 and was an exchange arrangement. I did it a year ago and it was 190...

Yes, the roof racks fit to the gutter as this is where the strength is .... Your picture (of the mounting clamps) looks entirely wrong. I would not reccommend that you drill the gutter, that is a recipe for disaster .. Not my car, just an...

Ok I am terrible at writing posts and always miss most of the important facts. It is getting fitted to a 1989 110 defender. I believe it was fitted to a 110 defender but I cannot work out how unless I drill the gutter.

On a car, typically the Negative terminal of the battery is connected to the chassis and the engine or gearbox with a thick Black cable. Pretty much everything else on the car is also bolted to the chassis (the bodywork etc). This means that the...

Thanks for the quick response! It is coolant not oil. The depth of the holes is about 10mm and I would say that they are drilled perpendicular to the block. It is weeping about one drip every second. The thesis that it is tell tales sounds...
