Hi, all. After recently purchasing a 1972 series 3 88 perkins powered landy I've already run into problems, unsurprisingly. Ran out of diesel a week ago going up a short hill, despite gauge showing half full. Managed to put 7 gallons of fuel in...

They're highly protected and there's a lot of work going on to build their numbers back up. Their numbers have been badly affected by rats (brought over by Maori & Europeans) and stoats (by Europeans). I'm sure it's illegal to keep them in...

The tax bracket is the Achilles Heal I would say. Everything else sounds good. A quick Auto Trader search shows six examples with less than 70k miles on ranging from £2650 to £5000 although only two of those are TD4s, and I can't imagine many...

I have a slightly different issue whereby I get the continuous beeping noise as soon as I engage reverse. I have checked all sensors are making the clicking sound as they should. Would this point to an ECU problem??

Probably the bestest free tool ive ever had. 🤣 🤣 Another great tool is the Dewalt reciprocating saw. Its cuts through an old style scaffold tube in 30 seconds, great for the garden too as there is all sorts of blades for em.:cool:

I think I've pretty much ruled out the 300tdi due to the age, and also due to a lack of power compared to the TD5, and Puma. I am also having a difficult enough time just deicing between TD5, TDCI 2.4, and TDCI 2.2.. o_O Exactly this as well...
