How many miles has it done? around 100k is generally rebuild time. If there was no oil I doubt it would have moved at all as the gearbox and torque converter (clutch) share the same oil.

Hi, Thanks. I only had one and got that solved thanks. If we could work out the pattern it would help others. Assume you'd need a list of serial numbers and lock codes that match ?? I'm sure the forum could provide.

Tip of the week...... You need 2 lengths of rope...tie one end to the ramp & lay the rope out the full length of the motor and drive over the rope, the weight of the motor on the rope stops it sliding away. :)

Some Bosch pumps have a small filter on them. Can’t remember exactly where, but it’s hiding under a bolt (if present). Worth exploring. Sounds fuel related.

Checked the lift pump when I took it out the box and it's nice and strong, great suck and blow action which is what I like. The fuel lines are larger than standard, I replaced them all years ago. I might replace the fuel filter again and stick a...

We had a Rover 420 with one in, one of the very few they made with "fly-by-wire" in. Fast as flip and economical too. I loved it, then we gave it to our son in law and he loved it too, until some A hole rear ended his trailer and destroyed the...

Run the engine for thirty seconds without the belts. See if the noise reoccurrs. If not then it's probably the water pump, could be the impeller coming loose.

I’d be looking for a faulty lift pump (even from new) or an obstruction in the fuel line somewhere (possibly even within the lift pump).
