TBH I have never had much luck with drivin onto them, so I tend to jack the vehicle up and put the ramps under them, or use axle stands. I'd have the same problem with W's Pluriel.

Pretty simple check, with volt meter connected at alternator output when engine running you should have 13 to 14v showing. However as yours is a fitted for radio military model than it would have had a 24v system. Has it been converted...

Surely it all depends on how long the cables are for the sensors. I wouldn't bother with a display, just use the sound of the beeps. I would be interested in seeing how you attach the sensors though.

Never had to get to mine on the F1 so unsure, but on the F2 you need a cut-away socket to turn the nut and hold the allen key in place. You just can't get the angle / depth with a spanner. ... and don't over-tighten!!!

Ah, apologies I was throw when you said ... "Then I thought under the bonnet, in the top left near the brake cylinder" ... which I assume you meant to mean that the brake servo was on the left so that would be a left hand drive car, as the pedals...

I would not expect resealing to be part of a respray, and also not part of a re-chassis. it is a separate job that would have needed to be specified. I filled my gutters with white tiger seal to reduce the leaks. It is up to you if you dig out...

Before you condemn the top mount or bearing, whip the coolant bottle off and check the top nut is tight. Allen key in centre to hold. I had one that needed a new lock nut and unscrewed on its own !!

My 50 year old ramps are too steep for modern cars. Cars had more clearance at the front end back then, unlike moderns which have noses that almost touch the ground. Not found anything with a search, that will suit my needs. Like you I think a...

Good job I didn't ignore it as not much left on inside pad but loads on outside. Off for new pads and wear sensor. Some things you can't ignore

Investigated knocks and rattles from the front suspension today. Whipped off the drop links and went for a quick spin. The links were pretty tired and most of the noises were eliminated, except the worst knock. New HD links on order and the...

So, I've dropped the reservoir and there are no leaks having done the soap and water test whilst connected to the compressor. I've measured the vehicle at ride height, albeit on an incline, from the middle of centre cap to underside of wheel...

I like your ramps. Where did you get them? I need something like those but with a shallower ramp to get under the front of modern cars (like 'er indoors corsa and dottirs focus).

Hopefully just the head gasket and not crack in the head. These heads are fragile unfortunately. If it's just the gasket that'sore hopeful. There are that say the head can't be skimmed but there are also those that say it's possible but it...

The oil filter housing is a bit awkward to get off. Most use a flex-head spanner (27mm)

To find the reason for poor fuel economy, look at your gearstick. If it says something like PRND - this is a contributor. You need to find 1 that says 123456R. Mine says PRND and its currently hovering in the low 11's average. When its...
