Being a 2009, I don't think it'll have DPF (my MY2009 hasn't). I went with Castrol Magnatec on my last change - I'd rather spend a few quid more on a decent brand. It needs to meet a Ford standard. I'll try and dig it out...

I would seal over the original if there is no sign of it coming off. The windscreen to roof has a foam/rubber seal but I would also seal the outside with a pu sealer of some sort. I would also fit a new windscreen seal, bulkhead to screen panel...

I've just paid quite a lot of money to have my Defender 90 300tdi re-chassied and repainted, the company had it way longer than they said it would take. Anyway, got it back and it's leaking where it was before, roof gutters, down onto the tops of...

I checked the pulleys and they are OK. I tightened the belts. This helped the initial (see below) squeaking. (the belts actually need replacing soon). But the concerning thing is this sudden sound that comes about 20 seconds after start...

Hi. Thanks for that. I'll see what the auto shop has. I'll keep an eye on the ignition switch but it's consistently giving me a reading.

The O2 sensor data looks wrong. They should be switching at similar rates, so maybe it's time to put new ones in ? All the other charts appear ok to me, but it's dificult to tell from the pictures. As I said before it's generally not...

I wasn't aware that the Classic had such a thing as a vacuum pump, the latest MY I've owned was a '93 & that didn't have one. On my '87 3.5efi the vacuum comes from a small rubber hose connected to the plenum & provides the 'suck' for the fresh...
