+1 to (most) of the above half decent bucket looking at 10-12k for fair deal. It’s a RR so it’s gonna have something on the to do list. I’m a diesel guy but when it comes to Classics it’d be the VM if available everytime

That looks like a chafer beetle. They lay loads of eggs in grass and the grubs destroy the roots, ruins lawns. Took me a few years to get rid of them here and get the grass back into condition.

Yes, I feel the OP has acted very irresponsibly in hyjacking a technical forum with his trash thread. He should hang his head in shame. However, I hope our mighty leader does not shift this thread to AG, as it will descend into AG level of...

They take up the space at the sides behind the wheel arches when you have the ridged boot liner, so not fixed in place.

Yeah, definitely my plan, it seems that the one I have found does 3 sets of flares, SAE, DIN and DUAL which is apparently a flare that can work with both almost "universally" I will be sure to ask them about it and report back. Will also update...

No idea ! Depends who makes them and what you ask for I guess. Safest is to contact a supplier and either buy some or ask them for the threads. Maybe you can specify threads and keep them the same as the rest ofnthe vehicle ??

There is a mechanical lock that prevents the pull going back in until the key is turned to the on position. Perhaps because it came out to far [ location screw lost perhaps] the lock pawl is now in the way for the pull shaft to go back in. I...

You don’t need to do a course. As long as you have a methodical way of taking things apart & can weld you will be good. Have a look through of the threads where people have rebuilt these & you will see what’s involved. Good luck & enjoy.
