Painted up the light housings because I couldn’t bear to put them back in like that. Will order some new plastic ones as I’ve had to punch a big hole through them for the wiring relay. Replaced 3x leak off pipes which were also very much past...

I wouldn’t worry about it. If you type P39 into the searchbar there’s pages of it. If you type P39a you get Mark 😂

There's no science here, just sticking two things together. Use a good bead but not enough that it enters the sump, torque the fixings up appropriately and that's it.

Old alternator back in. All good, exciter/warning light wire must not have been connected despite appearing to be in plastic holder. New alternator must be duff…Grrr. Thanks for help all! Al
