The torque settings on the sump for my TD5 are not high and there isn't much space to put one in to do up the oil pump sprocket bolt. My nomal 1/2 inch torque wrench does for everything else, but it doesn't go below 20 ft lbs.
My old fashioned...
Thanks Pete, much apricated.
I will double check with the loom in front of me but reckon they probably changed the blower and wiring for the soft dash (1992 is the hard dash).
I echo what @PopPops says. I do hope it all holds together.
As a result of what has happened to you, and to kick off my so far laziness and complacency, I too am going to take my sump off and replace said bolt. All parts on order and will do it...
Yeah, though the injection pump is within warranty, its still a right hassle.
if i whip the injection pump pipe off and take the solenoid wire off, then give it a crank, not a lot of fuel reaches it
I have to agree. I would do exactly as you suggest. Cleaning up the threads both internal and external before whacking on some Loctite.
Very best of luck with it, Mate! :):):)
In the meantime, after fixing it, sort of, with gaffer tape as the parts of the switch are basically falling apart, it is now OK.
But I have been onto Citroen C3 websites both sides of the channel and it appears it is a bit of a common thing...

I put in an EGR blanking plate to see if that was contributing to the problem, but it made no difference to the MAF readings (as I suppose you would expect). I'm going to see if I can visually inspect the hoses for leaks, but I'm not sure how...
Hijacking welcome!
I have since replaced my EGR with a known working unit, and replaced my last two injectors in the same condition. My car still smokes black under load, and I am convinced my MAF readings are too high.... no one can tell me...
Good evening, all.
I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have a very similar issue here with my 2008 Freelander 2 TD4.
I don't have any black smoke issues, and the car is well-serviced and otherwise seems to be running quite well for its...
Yup. I am researching which capillary option to go with as they are a little £££. In the meantime, I am trying the pot luck strategy as an interim trying whats on the market and reporting accordingly. Perhaps call it cheap harmless market...

It would seem logical to me that you can't defeat deadlock by reaching in through an open window and hitting a switch.
Edit: I just tried.
If I lock with the fob then it deadlocks, and the interior switch now does absolutely nothing.
if I lock...
Thanks, that is very helpful
Is it possible that the switch only asks the 27VT to operate the door lock motors but not the deadlock motors, whereas the fob can ask the 27VT to operate the door lock motors and the deadlock motors? My doorlock...
