How short a range? As in what sort of annual milage? If you aren't doing many miles, then a V8 may not cost all that much more to run. And would open up a lot of choice. I'd also say keep an eye out for the 2.5 VM ones. The VM unit is more...

Definitely needs more investigation. You must be the only one with a P38 EAS pump that can produce that much pressure.

ALLO ALLO, I will say this one more time. You are trying like many before you to get an old at least 40 years gauge along with its equally old wiring and regulator to be accurate. If it does happen it will be just pot luck and will not last as...

I like your stud ... 40mm sounds about right, i'm not near mine to measure at the moment. What colour drive is a question and a half. I fitted a blue one, tried a red one and then bought a silly expensive yellow one ... only one I haven't tried...

So, a new Lucas temperature sender arrived today. Fitted. After several miles, the dashboard reads above the cold yet below the N. It took a good 10 mins to register anything and subsequently took a long time to settle in the lower quarter and...

Well, it’s happened again, this time from the cylinder head end, last time from the FPR. The diesel slick behind and the diesel stink made me think something may be wrong!! Luckily I was only a road from home and just got into the drive. The...

They rot in the same places as a disco. Hard to find a nice RRC that has not been butchered. Saw 1 the other week pushed out of a bush make £5k no engine or box(was a 2door but still rotten)

vald replied to the thread P38A EAS question.
Definitely P38 and 2001 I started to doubt the pressure gauges but I went to the guy and checked, everything is correct. This explains why the pump had to be repaired so often. In the end, I put a non-original ring on the pump, which I took from...

    Great news!

Yep Turns out the new hose was not reinforced, so it expanded then contracted every time. This caused a small hole to get bigger and bigger until it ended in a slit about 21/2 inches long and hence the wheezy noise

There's always something, just when you think you are done. When I started To clean up the parts, I ran a plug tap of the various sizes through the various holes. This is Standard practice on old Renaults as they are M7 fine pitch and easy to...
