Did it actually turn the engine over when you tried to start it.
Worth cleaning up all live and earth connections on engine, chassis starter and solenoid to shiny bright.
Can you remove solenoid, disassemble, clean and bench test
I've also been recommended this, see below, what do you think?

Yesterday i was struggeling to get my flywheel out. Was fighting for 6 hours but i cannot sepparate the gearbox from engine.
All bolts and nuts are loose as far i can see.
Did i miss something ?
Bit like the headlamps at work. If the dipped or main beam goes, you just replace the bulb. but if the side light goes, they are LED built into the lamp and you have to replace the whole unit. Stoopid.
