I've just checked my trip meter, 26.4mpg at average speed of 46 mph! that was at night with heating on as well, it may give better mpg going home during the day. 280 miles from home to here.
Rain has stopped (for now) much colder too. Pulled the front diff out & it looks good now to clean all the faces up

Where/who are you using for galvanising ?
Are they still charging per weight?
(Not had much done for he past few years & good to keep up with the things)
I’ve had two bulkheads galvanized so far and had no issues, if they do decide to drill a hole I can always fill it in with lead solder before painting, I’ve used this method on galvanized front bumpers to fill in the end cap holes. Beauty with...
As the weather is so bloody awful today think I’ll hide in the garage, plan is to patch up the bulkhead to tunnel cover (sand blasted revealed a few holes) then straight out the tunnel panel, clean up the heater box and fan and get everything...

All the steel work including the bulkhead and inner wings are back from the blasters, a few drain holes added to the roll bar hoop and they are ready to go to the galvanisers next Wednesday. Notice that I’ve attached some unistrut as a brace...

200tdi will sit on the motorway at 70mph no problem.
Now you don't want diesel as its too slow, you...

Surprised an excellent 4x4 place does not offer this?
I did mine myself, but most places ought to be able to quote you to replace them. New ones are readily available (your call, but personally...
Hmmm. Modulation is a tad high but I would expect problems starting hot rather than cold. Problems starting cold sounds more like glow-plugs or in-tank pump.
I posted up a spreadsheet with a trace from mine somewhere. Or PM me your email address...
Is there a way of finding out the end user to whom/which a given contract was supplied and what the spec was?
I have a pic of a 1995 300TDi military SV plate and am interested to know more about it.
I recognise that there may be NDAs in place...
