Guessing it tells you to measure to the bottom of the rim in which case you would need to subtract 25mm ish.

It does tell me from the rim and yes I put it in from each corner

Did you put the measured values in from the wheel centers to the arch for each corner? The rim size would only matter if your tool tells you to measure from the rim.

Yes clean it up and just a tad of grease in the selector cups. Stick is available new, housing may be hard to find. There is a series 3 stick and housing on the flea bay. S3 stick has one bend S2 stick has two.

Not quite. Although the block & heads are basicall the same, the camshaft pulleys, crank & cam sensors are different between GEMS & Thor. Obviously the intake, but also the coils & brackets. Cooling system pipe routing & radiator are different.

I'm no eggspurt on these beasts, just read the manual a few times and being an engineer for over 40 years gives you a certain perspective when tracing faults.

Thanks for all the clarification. First of all i have the transmissions and the differentials in mind. If the core engine without the intake is the same too, I could relaxed refurbish the spare one and just swap it in when it's finished. Both...

They're factory markings. When we rebuilt my 1992 110 we found similar markings on the axle casings when they were cleaned up.

As above, what parts are you swapping ? If it's just the drivetrain (based on the first post & title), then the only mechanical difference is the 4-pin front diff in the Thor. Is something bad on the Thor that needs replacing ?

Have you seen the price of Yamaha and Suzuki 50cc moped from the 1970's l don't think buyers actually ride them, l've never seen one on the road and at bike shows they're brought in vans or on trailers. Back in the day we thought our AP50's...
