I am assuming the tacho head unit will be the receiving end for the plugs to er plug into.
I am guessing they are not std landrover plugs/loom, so you will need to trace them to see what goes where.
As the car is quite old it might have had an...
Has anybody got an OS front wing near Dartford Kent. Can anyone tell me if the wings are the same as a D2 mines the later 300tdi shape Just noticed they have lip around arch. Just in case would they fit?
Thanks
What model is your Land Rover? There are several different Series box and each has a different Suffix number/letter. Gears look different to me and so will not do. You could swap the whole transfer box section.
If it goes away at about 1000 revs that should be OK. do you have a dynamo and a regulator?
Wow, if so, real rave from the grave. 🤣
My first two Minis did.
It could just be alternator or dynamo brush (es).
Last time I worked on such a system...
Hi new here just got my Defender 90 Puma and on the passenger there is 5 plugs not connected to anything got no idea where they lead too. Anybody have any suggestions?
Hello all.
Local Indy confirms box needs changing. The one going in will be a rebuilt one that has done 50k miles. But he is so rammed he cannot do it before the 15th of April, so W threw a fit, especially as he doesn't want me heading straight...
High and low are just different drive ratios.
CDL locks the centre diff, i.e. the one in the middle of the transfer box, so that both propshafts are locked together.
You action it by moving the lever to the left when both the transfer box and...
Great, so in reality unless it's in an actual branded box (Delphi for example)then the item is just a cheapy regardless of whatever random letter it has at the end?
High and low are of little consequence of the CDL.
I presume on a D2 you would have to fit a new linkage and lever if you didn't previously have a center diff lock.
I've just had a little google but can't see any pictures. The part you have there looks like the LHS, facing forward from back of car.
Make and secure connection, carefully line up white clips and push home ensuring nothing sticking out.
I tried in two electronics stores but they seem to be impossible to find, I didn't want to wait 15 days from aliexpress so I opened the broken multimeter and recycled it
Depends what gaskets you use. Good quality have sealant around the coolant passages. Cheap usually don't.
Cant remember if I used any on the head gaskets, but definitely did around the coolant passages on both top & bottom of the valley gasket.
There should be one on either side. As in your picture the wider end goes to the base of the tailgate.
Green two pin connection at the top. Just be careful when fitting as if it catches you will have the same issue.
It is a little fiddly but easy...
