yeah, thank you. I've fitted a new inline pump now. and it's running so much better than before. I ended up replacing the bracket as well because it was rusted shut. I think I'm lucky that it's the secondary pump and not the in-tank one!

On the back of the brake drum, there is a little wheel that you can turn with a screwdriver. You might want to move that a little so that the brake shoes get closer to the inside of the drum. Did helped for me when I was changing my braking...

Hi, Used to search but can't fully figure out similar issue. Did some work on the back door before, and also had the battery disconnected during the winter to avoid draining. Never paid attention to it and the window always was working fine...

Went with the 150 amps indeed. See there isn't much differences, also when eventually using the VIN to search the right part.

Not too difficult if this screw isn't rusted in

My first ever car, an Austin, had a problem like that. I was driving in the rain and felt a splash of water on my mush. Discovered that there was a large fibre glass patch which had de-bonded in the passenger floor, which opened like a flap valve...

Yeah, that is a point but after modding it I haven't had the time to fiddle around with it yet due to life lol. Just wanted to know if anyone else had an MOT issue after the boost. Thanks for you reply.

It was intereesting to see the mpg on a long motorway run. I wonder how the sticky rear brake affected the mpg? :)

There are many adjustments you can do on the pump. The top screw and star wheel can both effect off boost fuel delivery, hence why it feels better to drive, but as it is off boost the fuel is not being fully burnt hence your smoke. You will find...

They don’t look right on a defender (not the new type!) They look too much like the old steel wheels you’d have on a normal car from the 90’s to me.

You could check fuel pressure if you buy a guage, will be a thread about it somewhere. Did it run fine before it broke down? We fitted a vdo pump which was £320, Land Rover a couple of hundred quid more.

They have a throttle stop which is a threaded bolt you wind in and out. If you have been messing around with your injection pump you will have seen this. Wind it in so it will only do 2000rpm if you are worried. If you are really worried then you...

I do like this guy's videos (although he goes on a bit). The £90 check and certificate only works for cars from 2012 onwards. I'm just happy to accept that mine has some random (real or fake) Overfinch cosmetics. Including the front and rear...

Yes I agree they have some kind of governor but I don't think they want to check to see if the governor is working correctly, but I may be wrong. Doing that would only take a few seconds but from the memo they said 'sustained periods of time' so...

Not shorted a starter for quite some time, but does that work with modern starters ? Not sure if they need an exciter feed to wake them up.

Thanks. I did say that I found the article after a search. I will however contact the station (which are very good) and address that part about their memo on reving up the engine without load, but my main question was regarding injector pump mods...
