Probably calls 999 and gets all services involved spends a week in A&E then applys for disability pension. Then get a no win no pay lawyer to sue a Chinese paper company for making dangerous paper. and then takes it to the Human rights court in Brussels

@Thor fair play that's quite funny for you. I've also trawled wiki and Google for plagiarism and no sign, it must be you own work...chapeau.

'screw up'? Four different 'screw-ups' for one customer (1. take order and acknowledge receipt of money without checking stock levels; 2. failure to keep customer informed once they realise they don't have the stock; 3. ignore telephone chase-up; 4. off-hand pseudo-apology with no reference to the fact that they've had £280+ out of me for nothing with

constructive information attached)

Yeah, I'd call that a screw-up.

They are from the north give them chance, life is a bit slower where we were born...
All them modern faxes are a bit confusing for us...

When we say sorry though it is for real because we don't smile when we say it We don't take the **** out of you when you walked out the door like the do down south.

On one (small) point by the OP, it's wrong for YRM to take money from a credit card account before dispatching the goods. It's standard practice to only complete the sale and take the money on the day of despatch, using the card details supplied at time of order placement.

I think this would not have stopped the PO getting ****ed tho.

I'm used to waiting weeks to have my stuff shipped to NZ by paddocks, but the incredibly low prices compared to local suppliers make it worth the wait :) and now you guys in the UK are leaving Europe and the exchange rate has bombed parts are even cheaper.....now what do I need.....
