Yorkshire Dales Laning Weekend 19-21 July

Still room today (friday) to join us camping or just for a day laning. Saturday is Settle up to Hawes area. Sunday is a run back to A1 with laning on the way, most of the day around Pateley Bridge area. We do have people meeting us on the way.

Starting from campsite http://www.dalesbridge.co.uk/events/ 9am Saturday, don't park on the grass, they dont like it. Perhaps a little later on Sunday

Camping Fri & Sat night or just one of them

Saturday full day laning, BBQ Saturday night, bring your own food, Sunday laning towards Eastern End of the Dales

Sunday, route back to A1 with lanes there are some great lanes to spend the whole day exploring around Pateley Bridge.

Leaving soon so post on here or PM me, I am taking the laptop with me.

i may be interested and could lead no problem but im going away the following week so could be quite busy tieing loose ends work wise. am quite happy to do a few reccies between now and then as i know a good few lanes in the area. will have a chat with Paul D we could venture out the odd weekends checking lanes etc and put a couple of routes together

Just to clarify a point, is there such a thing as lanes a Freelander could do, got to think of equal opps

Better not invite any then

just having a looksie on trail wise, a lot of the lanes arround Settle are dead ends or closed/ tro`d or have problems on them. Ill keep searching

Have to persuade someone from your area to come on it

Oh and there is at least good chippy in Settle, cant forget the chippy fans

Hmmm, let me know who is going and I will go from there, I can always get a train to there

Just to clarify, I wont be organising the laning, if we dont get experienced people to come it wont happen. I am aware I know nothing about laning

This just started as an idea with a couple of friends and I wondered if some people from here would like to come.

I just found a campsite which would be suitable.

I can 99.99% come if I can hop in someone's landy but also need to see how far away a train station is

There is a train station on the Settle Carlisle line in Settle, regular trains from Leeds I think.

Might be easier to find someone setting off nearer to you and meet them at their train station.

I wont have room in my Landy, might be able to get you a lift up to the site in my daughters Civic from Leeds (if she wants to go), if you can find a ride around the lanes.

Probably better to wait until nearer the time, I'm sure something be available

If I'm able to go, and if there's room and if I'm passing your location you can tag along in mine, on one condition. You dance. I dance and drive, alone or in company, I'm afraid that's the rule of the 90. Just arm swaying would do. And no crap music allowed.
