After paying my local garage £40 for a 10min job to reset my suspension i bought my own snap on scanner...........i am going to collect it tomorrow,i might have to get the software updated and a few bits a bobs but i'll have it sorted asap,i am based in Southeast London if anyone wants a go :D

I don't think the Snap-On scanner will be able to access the HeVAC, Suspension etc etc ECU's will it?? Has it got software available for Range Rovers??

-Wills :)

The guy that does my servicing has the same machine which he used to fix my inactive suspension which is why i bought the same one,i will get the software updated if it needs it and buy the relevant leads etc :)

ah, just looked at your profile, you have an L322 Range Rover so its different from the P38's.

How much was the scanner if you dont mind me asking??

£350 for the kit ( secondhand) i asked around about the faultmate and rovacom and they were £1100 ish and need to be used with a laptop, the snap on one is a stand alone unit.

Scanner arrived....it was the MTG2500 model,it needed updating by the snap on rep which he quoted me £399  plus the cost of another later global cartridge £399 :( so i sent it back where i got it from and ordered a brand new Snap on Ethos with the latest software installed, this gives me access to the air suspension / air bags / abs / transmission plus other stuff it can also be used on nearly every other car on the road.
